Habitat for Humanity Day! (open for important details)
August 3, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Service in the Community Day!
We have scheduled a special event for Sunday 3 Aug 2025, rather than a traditional church service: as volunteers for Palouse Habitat for Humanity we will repair the stairs to the front porch, add handrails to the side door, and repair a section of the skirting for a home in Moscow. A while ago we worked on a home repair for a family in Albion, WA and were very successful. We will meet at the UCM at 10:00 AM and then proceed to the job site. Wear your work clothes and gloves and PHFH will provide all the tools, equipment and guidance needed – the usual tools are hammers, screwdrivers, and saws and skills are not required.
There are a number of “paperwork” requirements so please complete the registration – if you register and then need to cancel for any reason that is OK – but if you wait until 3 Aug to register, that’s too late!
1. Go to palousehabitat.org
2. click on Volunteer
3. click on “Volunteer Interest Form” and fill out the pertinent information, then Submit
4. email outreach@palousehabitat.org and ask for the Volunteer Registration and Release Form for 3 August 2025
The registration is tedious, but it’s a lot more fun when you can help your neighbor by swinging a hammer rather than sitting on a pew in a nice summer day!
Additional Information:
We will be working nearby, on a mobile home in Robinson Park. We will be repairing the stairs to the front porch, installing hand-rails for the side door, and repairing a short section of skirting. No experience needed and if we have at least 6 workers we should finish in no more than 3 hours. If anyone would prefer to make some sandwiches and lemonade for the workers, you are welcome!
Be sure to register as soon as possible since we will be meeting at the Church at 1000 on the summer work Sunday, and that will be too late. If you have any questions, please contact Brent ( 208-301-1124 or brentbradberry@moscow.com)
